These terms govern your use of the SweatMate app and website. By creating an account you agree to them. SweatMate is operated by Das Design LLC-FZ, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Who can use SweatMate
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you are, and that the information you give us is accurate.
What SweatMate is, and what it is not
SweatMate provides fitness and training guidance and connects you with independent personal trainers. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. The plans, nutrition targets, scores and recommendations in the app are general fitness guidance, not a clinical assessment.
Consult a qualified medical professional before starting any new exercise or nutrition programme, particularly if you have an existing condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or surgery, or are taking medication. If you feel unwell or experience pain while training, stop and seek medical attention.
Your relationship with a trainer
Trainers on SweatMate are independent professionals. They are not our employees, agents or representatives. A training agreement is between you and the trainer directly.
We verify the certifications and credentials trainers submit to us, but we do not supervise the sessions they deliver and we are not responsible for their conduct, the quality of their coaching, or any injury or loss arising from a session.
Trainer obligations
If you join as a trainer, you confirm that you hold the certifications, licences and insurance required to practise where you operate, that the information on your profile is accurate, and that you will keep it current. You are responsible for the safety and conduct of the sessions you deliver, and for your own tax and regulatory obligations.
We may suspend or remove a trainer whose credentials cannot be verified, who is the subject of credible safety complaints, or who repeatedly fails to meet bookings they have accepted.
Subscriptions and payment
SweatMate offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and are subject to those stores' terms. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, which you do in your App Store or Google Play account settings rather than in the app. Refunds are handled by the store you purchased through.
Payment for training sessions is arranged between you and your trainer. SweatMate takes no commission on session fees.
Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in SweatMate, including your training records, notes and photos. You give us the permission we need to store and display that content in order to provide the service to you and to anyone you choose to share it with.
Acceptable use
- Do not use SweatMate for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
- Do not misrepresent your qualifications.
- Do not attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Do not scrape, copy or resell any part of the service.
Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, or where we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to protect other users.
Liability
SweatMate is provided as it is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, from training you undertake, or from your dealings with a trainer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
We may update these terms. Where a change is significant we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute.
